I'm going to Sevilla!
This weekend I get to travel with other students from my program to the Southern province of Spain to visit Sevilla. While I am not looking forward to the 8 hour bus ride there, I am beyond excited to spend the weekend in such a beautiful city. The architecture, food and art all represent the traditional image of Spanish culture. Sevilla is the birth place of the flamenco and I am lucky enough to get to see a live performance this Saturday. When I arrived in Spain my host family expressed that I absolutely HAD to go to Sevilla to see and experience authentic Spanish culture. I can't wait to see what this city has to offer!
If you had to think of a city or place that is an authentic representation of American culture where would it be? Could you just pick one place? What aspects of American culture would you expect to be represented? We'll have to compare notes when I get back! Have a wonderful weekend!

If I had to choose a city that represents America, I would choose New York City because it's full of American food like hot dogs and hamburgers.

If i had to think of a city that is an authentic representation of American culture, i would choose New york, because it is where the statue of liberty is, and it' also a place that many American's enjoy visiting because of the unique setting, and the different stores that are fun to visit. I have never been fortunate enough to visit New York itself, but i have herd tons of stories from my parents about their travel to new york. Also a lot of my friends have visited there, and said that the clothes there are really exciting, and that the arks and the scenery are also really fun to visit.

If i had to think of a city or place that is authentic American representation it would be Washington D.C. I would choose this because it has so many beautiful monuments and statues, it also has a lot of wonderful museums. All the buildings and monuments it represents the American history and all the important people and presidents.
